I welcome advice.

I have a dilemma, I will start from the beginning.

I have a cute son, who from the best we can figure out has extreme anxiety, especially in a crowd. He is a sweet boy who wants nothing more than to be good. However when there are people around he "freaks out" I can see it in his eyes. It is more of a look of fear then anything. He hits people if they get close to him and he gets upset very easily. Finally after a couple years of school of always being in trouble and being called a bully they got him in a learning center class for kids with behavior issues. It really seemed to be the ticket. He improved throughout the entire year. It was so nice to think that he might learn to control himself and not have kids thinking he is mean. When really he is so kind and caring.

He then started his second year of school at a new school because he was to old for the learning center he was in. From the beginning we had issues with his teacher. His behavior went downhill quickly and he was constantly in trouble. I was worried about him. I thought maybe we needed to change his meds or something else. I didn't agree with the teacher on some things and so I would call the district or talk to the principal about things. But the situation continued to deteriorate. (I may go into more detail another post) One day at SEP (student, educator, parent) meeting, his teacher went on and on for over a hour about all the things my son had done wrong (with him sitting right there). I could tell it was hurting him to hear these things. Finally he said to her "well you pull me over my desk and slam me into the wall" to my astonishment her reply was "well you should have been doing your work"

I sent in a request to have him moved, stating what had happened. After some time I was told he would be moved in a couple weeks to a new school. During that time things got worse. He would come home and tell me she would do these things to him and I didn't believe him. I thought he was exaggerating. I know he can be hard kid to handle so I was assuming it was him. (I feel so bad) The last week of school he would cry everyday begging me not to make him go to school and telling me that his teacher would lie to another kid telling him that my son had done something to him to make the other kid hurt my son. It was just to much to believe. A grown woman, a teacher would never do that.

He finally got moved to a new school and his behavior improved 400%. He was not in trouble everyday. He would go days without any problems. This made me wonder what had really happened at the old school.

I talked to several adults that were in and around the situation and found out that everything he had ever complained about had actually happened and more. His teacher was physically and emotionally abusing him nearly everyday. My poor boy. This is where my dilemma comes in. What do I do? How far do I go? I sent in a letter to the district, 19 pages on what had happened. I haven't heard anything in weeks. I know she was moved from the school she was at because some of the adults told on her. But to my amazement she was not fired. She is still teaching kids. From the responses I got when I would call the district or the principal on her she has had issues before. How can a person be allowed to still teach after that. If they don't make it so she can't teach again what do I do? My son is out of the situation so part of me wants to just stay out of it and not drag him through anything more. But the other part of me feels a responsibility to the kids who may be in her class in the future. What if someone had stopped her before my son was in her class? He would be so much better off right now.

Do I go to the police and press charges?

Do I sue her and the school district for knowingly placing my son in harms way?

Do I go to the media to see if I can get results?

My goal is not to make her go to jail, it is just to make sure she is not allowed to hurt anyone else. I don't want to sue because the taxpayers will ultimately be the ones to get hurt, as that is the only income source for the schools. I don't want my son to have to testify or be run through the ringer. I know she has already tried to turn everything I said against me. Even one of my good friends for years will not talk to me because she taught with her.

Why is it that the person that has the crime done against them is the one that suffers through the entire process? I just want it to go away but I don't feel I can let it. Why cant the district have the backbone to do the right thing and stop putting me through this? Maybe they will.

It has been very fun to have. With the exception of one life flight trip to the hospital 4 years ago we haven't had to many issues with it. We bought a new trailer (toyhauler) and the door is 50" wide and the buggy rear was 52". We made it one trip by taking off one of the rear wheels and pushing it in. We couldn't find any wheels with the offset we needed so we modified some. I cut out the centers on the waterjet at work, and since I was cutting on them I added some bears. I love bears! They turned out pretty good and this should make loading and unloading much easier.

If you haven't seen it before check out www.blazeofgloryoffroad.com and click on the builds link on the right side then it is the tera tamer build.

Below I put some pictures from Tony's broken arm. My husband does such a good job of keeping up on what we are doing on his web site I neglect mine. I am going to try to do some catching up. Two years ago today I started working as a Engineer at Kihomac. It is a great company and I really enjoy it. In Feb last year I was promoted to Engineering Manager. I really enjoyed working with the Engineers and the others on the Management team. Earlier this week I was promoted to Deputy Director over Manufacturing. I am looking forward to this new challenge. One nice thing about working there is there is a lot of cool "toys" to play with. I will post some pics. Hannah is doing good at Daycare/Preschool and will be starting Kindergarten this year. I can't believe how fast my baby is growing up. She is a little fire ball and loves to talk. She is taking dance (ballet) and tumbling. Owen is doing Great! He was in a less then ideal, well no down right crappy class at the begining of the year. Many calls and emails and complaints later I got him moved to a different class and it is awesome. He does so good and is progressing so fast. A good teacher makes all the difference in the world. Speaking of good teachers, Brayden has a awesome teacher this year. I am so glad he is in her class. He is doing really well this year and learning so much. He is growing up so fast. I can't believe he is 11. Only one more year and he will be a Decon and have the Priesthood. WOW! Tony is doing good and still working as an accountant. He works hard keeping all our toys running and keeping us happy campers. We bought a new trailer this year and so far it is great. He has gotten really good at making videos and documenting trips on his web site, http://www.blazeofgloryoffroad.com/. We are all doing good and enjoying life.

Shellhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14005663285045023351noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4869089838199495727.post-14954728363084457602010-01-17T16:41:00.003-07:002010-01-17T16:53:25.932-07:00For the Reese'sMy brother got a job in Ohio. We are very excited and sad about this. It is a great opportunity for them but very far away. As part of the move they are not able to take their dog Aggie. So we are keeping her for them. Her and Deegan hit it off right away and have been having a great time together. I may have to change her name to Houdini though by the way she makes food disappear and how she magically got out of the yard in the middle of the night. I could not find anywhere in the fence that she could have gotten out. Luckily she was just trying to get back in and came when we called. I think these two will have a great time together.<img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; They were some cheap chairs Tony and I bought right after we got married and we have used them over the past 14 years almost. I got a bonus from work so I decided to look for some new chairs and today we found this set at RC Willey. It was a display set so it has a few small scratches but for 2/3 off I can deal with a small scratch or two. It has 8 chairs and we can put in 3 very large leafs it is nearly 12 feet long with all the leafs in and about 6 feet without them. It is a really dark stain and I love the all wood chairs. Anyhow as you can tell I am excited and happy with what I got!

Shellhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14005663285045023351noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4869089838199495727.post-44520899866866751082009-11-20T17:12:00.003-07:002009-11-20T17:22:23.164-07:00Oops!
Brayden kicked a ball in the front room and hit a vase that was made by my great aunt who happened to have passed away recently and knocked it to the floor where it broke into several pieces. I was very upset and sad that it was broken and I yelled at Brayden. Then I claned it up and went on with what I was doing. A few minutes later Brayden gave me the note below. What a sweetheart. Then we tried to glue the vace back together. It is still missing a few pieces but it is better then nothing. So Brayden decided to be the ghost of Caineville (Tony tells ghost of Caineville stories every time we camp there, about a motorcycle rider who died but still rides around Caineville) Owen found a gate keeper costume he liked and for the first time Hannah wasn't a big white chicken she wanted to be a pirate.Shellhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14005663285045023351noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4869089838199495727.post-15527654861097784092009-11-02T05:47:00.001-07:002009-11-02T05:50:11.001-07:00MarshmallowHannah has been having trouble hearing due to tons of fluid behind her eardrum. We are trying some meds to fix the problem and hopefully she wont need to get tubes put it. The other day when she could hardly hear at all Tony said "Hi beautiful" to her as she walked by. She came up to me with a cute smile and a shy laugh and said "dad just called me marshmallow" So now her nick name is marshmallow. She is so fun. I think the meds she is on is helping so far. Hopefully they will continue to help.Shellhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14005663285045023351noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4869089838199495727.post-59071848028734439712009-10-17T17:03:00.000-06:002009-10-17T17:04:09.807-06:00WHY OBAMA WON THE ELECTION!!!
From http://www.sodahead.com/united-states/why-obama-won-the-election/blog-160957/

Good post

WHY OBAMA WON THE ELECTION!!!
THE COW AND THE ICE CREAM

ONE OF THE BEST EXPLANATIONS

OF WHY OBAMA WON THE ELECTION

From a teacher in the Nashville area:

"We are worried about "the cow" when it is all about the "Ice Cream."

The most eye-opening civics lesson I ever had was while teaching third grade this year.

The presidential election was heating up and some of the children showed an interest. I decided we would have an election for a class president.

We would choose our nominees. They would make a campaign speech and the class would vote.

To simplify the process, candidates were nominated by other class members.

We discussed what kinds of characteristics these students should have.

We got many nominations and from those, Jamie and Olivia were picked to run for the top spot.

The class had done a great job in their selections. Both candidates were good kids.

I thought Jamie might have an advantage because he got lots of parental support. I had never seen Olivia's mother.
The day arrived when they were to make their speeches.

Jamie went first.

He had specific ideas about how to make our class a better

Place. He ended by promising to do his very best.

Everyone applauded and he sat down.

Now is was Olivia's turn to speak.

Her speech was concise.

She said, "If you will vote for me, I will give you ice cream."

She sat down.

The class went wild. "Yes! Yes!

We want ice cream."

She surely would say more. She did not have to.

A discussion followed. How did she plan to pay for the ice cream?

She wasn't sure.

Would her parents buy it or would the class pay for it.

She didn't know.

The class really didn't care.
All they were thinking about was ice cream.

Jamie was forgotten. Olivia won by a landslide.

Every time Barack Obama opened his mouth he offered ice cream and 52 percent of the people reacted like nine year olds.

They want ice cream. The other 48 percent know

They're going to have to feed the cow and clean up the mess."

Remember, the government cannot give anything to anyone ---
That they have not first taken away from someone else.Shellhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14005663285045023351noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4869089838199495727.post-83842104000597969042009-08-01T20:58:00.001-06:002009-08-01T20:58:47.462-06:00Something to Think AboutAn economics professor at Texas Tech said he had never failed a
single student before but had, once, failed an entire class. That class
had insisted that socialism worked; and that no one would be poor and no
one would be rich - a great equalizer. The professor then said ok, we
will have an experiment in this class on socialism.

All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same
grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A. After the
first test the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students
who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were
happy. But, as the second test rolled around, the students who studied
little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they
wanted a free ride too; so they studied little.. The second test
average was a D! No one was happy. When the 3rd test rolled around the
average was an F.

The scores never increased as bickering, blame, name calling all
resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of
anyone else. All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor
told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the
reward is great, the effort to succeed is great; but when government
takes all the reward away; no one will try or want to succeed.

Could not be any simpler than that....Shellhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14005663285045023351noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4869089838199495727.post-85027199824120061972009-06-21T22:01:00.006-06:002009-06-21T22:52:18.383-06:00Bear Grylls Barlow HaHaWe went camping this weekend and had a great time and quite an adventure. On Saturday we went out for a ride and were having a great time and we got quite far from camp. As we were going down a trail we decided to head back because it was almost dinner time and looking like it might soon rain (which we were not dressed for). So we turned around and headed back. A short distance down the road something felt strange so I stopped and found that I had a flat tire on my buggy. We were a long way from camp, at least 10 miles, and we didn't have a way to fill the tire. The rain was really closing down and we decided that we should get the kids out of the rain so Tony took Hannah on his bike and the boys left on theirs. I was left to wait out the rain in my short sleeved shirt. I gathered everything out of my buggy to keep it dry (camera and headlights) and Tony left his body armor to make room for Hannah so I put it on to help keep me warm. I was looking around and decided to make a place to sit down and it soon turned into making a small lean-to to keep me as dry as I could. I moved some rocks and made a small wall, then I put on a Large arched log over the top with lots of small logs leaning up to it. Then I pick a bunch of plants with big leaves and put them all over the top. Just then it started raining so I slid in and waited. The rain came down and down and down. It was quite a down pour. I stayed dry except for a couple of drips. It kept me dry but it was still cold. Soon enough Tony came back in the truck and we filled the tire. Thankfully he brought my coat and I got in the buggy and drove back to camp as fast as I could go. It was raining so hard I could barely see and I was SOAKED when we got back to camp. It took me a couple hours and a really hot shower to get warm but it was actually fun overall.

<img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; I have never been able to convince myself to fork out the money and I wasn't sure how much I would use it because it is big to get out and I wouldn't want to leave it out. The other day at the store I found the perfect solution for me. This Ziploc vacuum sealer was on sale for $1.99 and so I thought I would give it a try. And I was impressed. It worked fine and did get most of the air out. It is easy to use, as long as you don't fill the baggies to full. It cleaned up easy and conveniently fit in my drawer with my baggies so it will be easy to get out the next time I need it.Shellhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14005663285045023351noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4869089838199495727.post-37493479711099016162009-02-27T09:31:00.003-07:002009-02-27T09:42:53.476-07:00The dreaded laundry
I have heard a lot of people complaining about laundry lately and usually I would be right there with them but, for some strange reason laundry isn't as bad as it used to be so I started think why? What I came up with is that I decided not to try to do ALL my laundry one day and FINISH it. Because that was just setting me up for disappointment. Instead I have been just doing a couple loads hear and there through out the week. It makes it so much better when I don't think I am DONE. Because you all know you can never be done with laundry, as soon as you think you are done someone changes their clothes. Another thing that makes it better is I discovered my kids don't follow me into the laundry room. I don't know why they try to follow me everywhere else in the house, including the bathroom. So this makes laundry much more enjoyable because it is a time to myself. Because of the last reason I have started folding my laundry in the laundry room where I have a basket with each family members name on it. I fold the clothes and put it in the correct basket then other then mine and Hannah's clothes I am done. Tony puts his own away and the boys just dress out of their baskets, which is actually nice because they take off their dirty clothes in the laundry room and saves me collecting laundry.

Any how one day when I am rich (which really means it will never happen but it would be nice) I am going to build my own house that has a very large laundry room with closets built in, maybe even dressing room things. SO clothes never leave the laundry room unless they are on someone, and they always get left there when they are taken off.

I know I do things strange but it is the way I like them so it works for me. Any how have fun doing your laundry!Shellhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14005663285045023351noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4869089838199495727.post-90578778836690800022009-02-13T09:28:00.002-07:002009-02-13T09:33:52.425-07:00Bad Word

Hannah was watching Dora this morning and Dora was saying I love you in english and spanish which is Te Amo but sounds kinda like De amo to me. You don't have to actually answer the questions. Just read the e-mail straight through, and you'll get the point.

1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.
2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.
3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America.
4. These are no second-rate achievers. They are the best in their fields. But the applause dies. Awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten. Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners .
Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:

1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.
2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.
3. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with .

Easier?

The lesson:
The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They are the ones that care .

'Don't worry about the world coming to an end today.
It's already tomorrow in Australia.'
